Passo E Other products

PASSO E is the latest development of automatic GMAW/FCAW welding system designed for both onshore and
offshore pipeline construction (S and J lay).

The main features and advantages are the following:
- High weld quality and repeatability due to a customized software that controls in real-time all welding parameters
- Efficiency and reliability of all system components
- Reduced dependency on experienced operators
- Lightweight head (12 Kg), very compact and solid design that allows the reduction of the distance from bevel,
  requiring a shorter concrete cut-back
- Small dimensions and weight of the control cabinet (15 Kg)
- Short operators training time and familiarization
- Parameters setting for different circumference sectors

WELDING HEAD
The PASSO E bug can weld a range of pipes from 6 to 60 inches and can be fitted to different belt diameters without any change of parts.
All movements are motorized and computer controlled with high accuracy.
The control station mounted on the head takes in all commands needed for ‘dry runs’ and adjustments during the welding process.
In addition, a remote pendant control is available with the main functions. The torch is water cooled and gives a very high performance

PARAMETERS
The parameters table allows to insert all preset values for up to 10 passes. During the process, it is possible to capture the actual parameters used after all override corrections made by operator (self learning).

Programmable parameters
· Arc speed
· Wire speed
